Tester Features

The Tester is a program for passing tests prepared beforehand.

When you run the program, you can select one of the available Test Groups in the dialog box.

After the Test Group is selected, you should specify a test taker. There are two ways to do it, depending on the options set by the test administrator: the test taker selects his or her name from the list or enters the information manually.

After that, the test begins. The process is very simple. On top of the window, there are three buttons: Answer, Bypass and Stop.

Answer: When the test taker clicks “Answer”, the program accepts and saves the selected answer.
Bypass: If the test taker wants to skip a question and return to it later, he can click the Bypass button. This button can be disabled if the test administrator has cleared the “Allow to bypass questions” checkbox.
Stop: This button is used to quit the test.

When the testing is finished, an information message appears. It shows detailed information about the test such as the test taker’s first and last name, total time of the test, name of the test, number of correct answers and the score.

Tester Settings

To change the settings, click Program Settings on the File menu. Enter password (the default password is “123”).

Change path to the database: When you launch the program for the first time, it tries to find the path to the database. However, if you need to configure the program for using it in a network, you should type the path manually.

Specify the default Test Group: If a default test is selected, the list of available tests will not appear when the Tester is launched, so the user will see “step 2” where student information is entered.

Password protection: The password protects the Tester settings from unauthorized changes. The default password is “123”, but we recommend changing it as soon as possible.
